The good news just keeps coming for fans of R. Kelly's cult classic, "Trapped in the Closet."
First it was announced the saga will return from a five-year hiatus
on Black Friday (because who needs to shop?). Now -- as if the
experience of watching the show itself could get any stranger -- the
good folks at Alamo Drafthouse and The Action Pack bring you the "R. Kelly: 'Trapped in the Closet' Sing-Along."
Think
"Rocky Horror Picture Show" meets mesmerizingly bizarre "hip hopera."
The sing-along has been held as an event at Comic-Con, as well as the
Bonnaroo music festival.
The touring show will
be held at select U.S. cinemas, and will start with a warm-up dance
party to R. Kelly's music videos. The first 22 chapters of "Trapped"
will then be screened with subtitles custom-built for audience
participation -- which, let's be honest, is pretty much what this show
was created for.
