R. Kelly, who travels with the expected commotion of today’s contemporary R&B superstars — he recently survived one of those viral Internet death hoaxes — has a 7:30 p.m. July 28 show at the Blue Cross Arena at the Community War Memorial.
R. Kelly has performed in Rochester twice before, both times as a support act: at the War Memorial in 1995 with Salt-n-Pepa and 1996 with LL Cool J. (Correction: R. Kelly was the headliner both times)
The show’s billed as “An evening with R. Kelly,” which means no openers. Tickets (ranging from $88.10 to $139.15, and that includes service fees) are available at ticketmaster.com, (800) 745-3000 and the arena box office, 1 War Memorial Square.
