Lady Gaga says she shares a lot in common with R.Kelly and there's ''no holding back'' when they work together.
Lady Gaga reckons her and R.Kelly are like ''Bonnie and Clyde.''
The
'Applause' hitmaker, who recently collaborated with the R&B star on
the song 'Do What U Want', spent a lot of time with the singer and said
they have a lot in common.
She told Canadian radio station Z103.5: ''I wrote this song to a groove and then we started to make the record better.
''I was down with it but was like, 'Oh man, but it would be so good if R.Kelly was on it'.
''And everyone said, 'But it's good Gaga', but I was like 'If R.Kelly was on it then I would know if it's was really good'.
''I didn't even know if he'd wanna sing on it but I just wanted him to hear it and thumbs up or down to me on the record.
''And
he loved it and he wanted to sing on it, we spent so much time together
and filmed the video. He's so amazing and so talented.''
The 27-year-old star said when they are together there's ''no holding back'' and said they're like Bonnie and Clyde.
They
proved how close they are during a sizzling performance at the American
Music Awards on Sunday (24.11.13), when Gaga played a sexy secretary to
R.Kelly's cigar-smoking president.
She said: ''We share something
in common with the song because we both of us have people who write
really untrue things about us that sort of plagues our careers.
''We have to walk forward withstanding all of this noise, there's a sense of protection between the two of us.
''We are both purely people who love to sing and write songs and it comes from a really genuine place.''
